MP reveals he trusts in astrology

An MP has declared his belief in astrology and that he is "absolutely convinced" it improves people's lives.

David Tredinnick explained he has spent 20 years studying the stars and healthcare, and has produced charts for a number of his fellow parliamentary representatives that have helped them.

Speaking to BBC News, he stated astrology "has a proven track record" and emphasised his desire for it to become part of modern medicine, recently pointing to its long history in cultures around the world during a parliamentary debate.

According to the Conservative politician, "those who look at the map of the sky for the day that they were born and receive some professional guidance will find out a lot about themselves and it will make their lives easier".

Mr Tredinnick, MP for Bosworth in Leicestershire, recently appeared at Glastonbury festival talking about his interest in the Iahiri Indian system of astrology and its use in the country alongside Daily Mail astrologer Jonathan Cainer.

The politician has represented his Midlands constituency since 1987 and serves on both the House of Commons health committee and the science and technology committee, having seen many of the complementary remedies and methods of healing he is interested in becoming part of the NHS.

The Tory MP believes that greater awareness of the potential benefits of astrology could improve the nation's health and wellbeing, although he did not suggest readings should be provided free on the NHS.

Astrology is an ancient discipline dating back thousands of years with branches in cultures around the world and involves divination connecting astronomical events and the human world, including the movement of planets and stars in the night sky.

It is sometimes referred to as astromancy and was employed by Mayans, Chinese and Mayans to forecast events on Earth, while modern western astrology often focuses on horoscopes, which are used to determine life events and other factors for individuals based on information relating to the time of their birth.

There are many ways of finding out about your horoscope and professionals can draw up an individual chart for you, while experts who can be contacted through PsychicsOnline know a great deal about the signs of the zodiac and can answer many of your astrological questions if you give them a call.
