Model kept awake by ghosts at Paris Fashion Week

A model at Paris Fashion Week has revealed that she didn't get much sleep during the event – not because of the wild parties, but because of things that went bump in the night.

Nina Agdal is one of the most recent models to have graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and she attended the John Galliano spring/summer 2015 fashion show before landing back at New York's JFK airport this weekend.

She was spotted by fans and reporters from the Daily Mail, who raced over to quiz her about Fashion Week and what went on behind the scenes.

However, Nina surprised them by revealing a ghost story.

"I'm exhausted. I haven't slept in three days. My room was haunted, so I really didn't sleep. There were ghosts," the newspaper quotes the 22-year-old as saying.

She signed a few autographs before revealing that she was heading home to finally catch up on 40 winks.

It's not known whereabouts Nina stayed while she was in Paris, but it's perhaps not surprising that she had a ghostly encounter, as the French city is one of the most haunted places in the world.

Ghost expert Father Sebastiaan recently detailed some of the spectres in an interview with blogger Peter Greenberg, describing The Louvre in particular as a ghostly hotspot.

He explained that the St Bartholomew's Day Massacre began there, so there are lots of souls still trapped within its walls. Furthermore, there have been sightings of old guards roaming the halls and of the Red Man of the Tuileries – a famous 16th century murderer.

Why not get in touch to share some of your own stories of haunted Paris? Perhaps you can outdo Nina with more details of the ghouls you have seen.
